Minutes:
Minutes from previous meeting (2/24/2005) were approved.
Program:
Steve Francis delivered one of the first of three EMS
trailers to Laytonville. Trailers are equipped with an M.C.I.-type
inventory. The equipment was displayed and discussed. The
remaining two trailers will be placed at Brooktrails and Fort
Bragg. The plan is to purchase three additional trailers to be
placed countywide.
Academy Report:
Mike Ciancio reported on the successful completion of the
’05 academy and identified some areas to enhance next year’s
academy. Mike suggested using a burn room or an outside source,
such as “North Tree” to satisfy the live burn component. Relying
on a donated structure to burn is becoming difficult. There was
discussion regarding additions to the academy, such as auto
extrication, red card issues, etc. Consensus was to bring this
back at the September meeting for further discussion. Jeff Adair
complimented Mike and added he’s heard nothing but positive
feedback regarding the academy.
