the Fire Science program. Bill will be contacting individual fire Departments
for commitments on equipment, instructors and facilities.
Group discussion: Led by Steve Wells on approval of Hazmat Grants. Steve said he
only had two grants submitted to him Brian Graham and Craig Helig, they were
approved. It appears there is a misunderstanding as to who is to receive the
grant applications Jim Harrison stated that Carl Magann has more applications
but has not forwarded them to Steve W. The group approved all applications that
Carl had with the understanding they are representatives the Mendocino County
Fire Departments. For future grants clarification on who should receive the
grant applications will need to be addressed. Jim Harrison also spoke about a
trailer that Environmental health has received and will be reconditioning it for
use as a Decon/operations training trailer. Available to any of the county fire
departments that would like to take on the “Housing” portion of the trailer.
Also Decon training at the three hospitals will occur in October the week of the
23rd.
Academy - Continued discussion on the curriculum decided not to add or
subtract any of the subjects. Mike C will have a preliminary schedule for the
11/3 meeting. Still considering the possibility of providing IFSTA manuals to
all students.
Treasures report – was not available because those documents go to the
County Fire Chiefs Treasure. Also a final total on the academy was not done.

Awareness as the classes offered by the training officers assoc. Mike will look
